Money doesn't have to feel complicated
Most people leave school without understanding how to budget properly. We're here to change that—with straightforward lessons that actually stick. Whether you're starting your first job or finally ready to get serious about savings, our approach breaks down the basics in ways that make sense for Australian life.
Explore our programsFour stages that build real understanding
We've structured learning around how people actually absorb financial concepts—not how textbooks think they should.
Foundation work
You'll start by tracking what you actually spend for two weeks. No judgment, just data. Then we look at where your money goes and talk about patterns you might not have noticed before.
Building your framework
Here's where we create a budget that fits your life—not some generic template. We discuss fixed costs, variable spending, and what "realistic savings" means for your situation right now.
Handling the curveballs
Car breaks down. Medical bill arrives. Friend's wedding on the Gold Coast. Life happens, and budgets need flexibility. We work through scenarios so you're ready when surprises come.
Long-term thinking
Once the basics are solid, we move into saving strategies, understanding super, and planning for bigger purchases. Nothing fancy—just sensible approaches that compound over time.
Why this works better than apps alone
Banking apps show you numbers. We help you understand what those numbers mean and what to do about them. There's a difference.
Our instructors have spent years helping Australians untangle their finances—from uni students managing HECS debt to families juggling mortgage stress and school fees. That real-world context matters more than algorithms.
- Personalised feedback on your actual spending patterns
- Discussion groups with others facing similar challenges
- Resources tailored to Australian tax, super, and cost of living
- No upsells to investment products or affiliate links
We're not selling you anything except education. Everything we teach, you keep forever.
What people say after finishing
Freya Whitlock
Completed program March 2025
I thought I was hopeless with money. Turns out I just needed someone to explain it in plain language instead of finance jargon. Now I actually have an emergency fund—first time in my adult life. The group sessions were surprisingly helpful too, knowing I wasn't the only one struggling.

Completed program January 2025
Best investment I've made in myself, honestly. The tracking exercises felt tedious at first but that's when everything clicked. Seeing where my money actually went versus where I thought it went was eye-opening. My instructor Linh was patient with all my questions about super too.
Our teaching philosophy
We've been running these programs since 2019. Over that time, we've figured out what actually helps people change their relationship with money—and what just sounds good in theory.
The biggest thing? People need to feel safe asking "dumb" questions. There's so much shame around not knowing basic finance stuff, and that shame keeps people stuck. So we start there.
Small cohorts, real conversations
We cap groups at twelve people. Everyone gets heard. You'll meet others dealing with similar money stress, which makes the whole thing less isolating.
Practical exercises, not theory dumps
Each session includes homework that takes 20-30 minutes. You'll be working with your actual finances, not hypothetical scenarios from a textbook written in 2003.
Australian context throughout
All our examples reference things like Centrelink, HECS, superannuation, and Medicare. We're not using American financial advice copy-pasted from somewhere else.
Ready to feel more confident about money?
Our next program starts September 2025. Sessions run Tuesday evenings for eight weeks, with online and Sydney CBD options available. No prerequisites except showing up.
