We Started With a Simple Question

Back in 2018, three of us sat around a kitchen table wondering why money felt so complicated. Not the big investment stuff — just the everyday decisions about spending, saving, and planning ahead.

We'd all made our share of mistakes. Overdrafts. Credit card debt that crept up. That feeling of not quite knowing where the money went each month. And we kept hearing similar stories from friends, colleagues, and family members.

So we built miravontiq. Not as financial advisors — we're educators. We break down budgeting into something that actually makes sense for real people dealing with real life.

How We Got Here

2018 – The Kitchen Table Era

Started with weekend workshops in Sydney. Eight people showed up to the first one. We covered basic budgeting with pen and paper — no fancy apps, just honest conversations about where money goes and why it matters.

2020 – Going Digital

When lockdowns hit, we moved everything online. Turned out people were even more open about their money struggles over video calls. Our course roster grew from twelve people to over three hundred that year.

2022 – Expanding the Team

Brought on educators with backgrounds in teaching and community work. We weren't just about spreadsheets anymore — we started focusing on the psychology of spending and the real barriers people face.

2025 – Where We Are Now

Running workshops across New South Wales and Victoria. We've worked with over two thousand people, from university students to retirees. Our approach hasn't changed much — we still believe budget education should be practical, judgment-free, and grounded in everyday reality.

What Drives Our Work

No Judgment Zone

Everyone's made money mistakes. We don't lecture or shame — we create space for honest questions and real talk about financial challenges.

Practical Over Perfect

We teach budgeting methods that work with messy, unpredictable life. Not theoretical perfection, but tools you can actually use when things get complicated.

Long-Term Thinking

Quick fixes rarely stick. We focus on building habits and understanding that serve you for years, not just getting through the next month.

Real-World Focus

Our courses reflect actual Australian costs, wages, and financial systems. Everything we teach is grounded in the reality of living and working here.

Community Learning

Money can feel isolating. We bring people together to share experiences and learn from each other — sometimes the best insights come from fellow participants.

Ongoing Support

The course doesn't end when the last session wraps. We stay available for questions and check-ins because building new habits takes time and occasional guidance.
